Los Potrillos Restaurant – Authentic Mexican Street Tacos & More in Bloomington, IN

The veggie bowl was delicious and the portion was good. Great option if you're a vegetarian. However, minus 1 star for the moldy cake. Because it had me on edge regarding the rest of my order.

We’ve been looking for a new Mexican restaurant to have street tacos for a while now as we previously lived in Texas in California and were spoiled by their good Mexican food scenes. We hadn’t quite found street tacos that were anywhere close to those in this area, so would travel to Indy to get some until we tried Los Potrillos' street tacos today. They were absolutely delicious! If you're a fan of street tacos, you have to come here to try them. We also got a quesadilla from them and it was good as well. An additional note, we unfortunately have an issue with our order, the tacos were made with the wrong meat due to a misunderstanding. I called once I got home and the owner did not hesitate to make things right. He immediately stated that he could remake them at no additional charge, did not give any pushback and was extremely apologetic. It has been a long time since I’ve come across a restaurant that is not only willing to make an order right but is so sincere and apologetic in doing so. With the food being as fantastic as it was, the kindness that the owner showed only made things that much better and I will absolutely be coming back and ONLY coming here for street tacos and Mexican food in general going forward. The owner has not only earned a loyal customer today with his food, but also his actions. I would encourage everyone to come check them out and have the peace of mind that if there is an issue, Los Potrillos will make sure they get things right!

I visited Bloomington from Louisville with my man for my birthday and we ended up deciding on Los Potrillos based on reviews. I must say BLOOMINGTON Y'ALL BETTER NOT SLEEP ON THIS RESTAURANT. I can tell it's family owned, every single thing made with love and care. The freaking salsa is insane on its own, I loved the texture and the spices. They were perfect for me. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his Burrito California. I had the Pollo Loco and mmmmmmmmmy god. So perfect. I also tried the tamale, perfect flavor. Tres Leches was delicious! We were served, and fed with love. Thank you for the experience!

We dined outside on a beautiful fall day. Our server was kind & attentive. The food was amazing! We devoured smoked brisket tacos with some tomatillo salsa and fresh jalapenos. The steak/chorizo torta was very filling with fresh bread. Nice to have a delicious, classy but traditional new Mexican spot. We'll be back when we have room for the churros!

One of my friends got the chicken nachos and caramel churros for takeout and it was absolutely delectable. We might have gotten lucky with the churros because we got them straight out of the fryer. The nachos were amazing too.

Good vibes and great food! We stopped by around 10pm when it wasn’t too busy, and the service was excellent. The food had amazing flavor with just the right amount of kick—it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. I tried the chicken quesadilla and loved it, and D ordered the Pollo Loco, which was just as delicious. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

Very good food! Our server was friendly. Birra taco was amazing a must try. We were the only ones there for part of the time but it was in between peak times. I will be going back. We ordered a bunch of food to try. Everything was good except the refried beans which were a little flavorless. The rest of the food made up for it.

Being a Texas resident for 20 years I was a bit skeptical about this place.. However I am very impressed. The chips and salsa started out great. Chips were warm and salsa was fresh. I ordered a Steak Sopa and California burrito. The food came out pretty fast. The soda was layered with steak, tomatoes, lettuce, avocado and sour cream. I could have ate that and been satisfied. However, the California Burrito was over the top delicious. Layered with steak, queso and fries that are crisp and taste as though they've sat in barria gravy. A seriously good Burrito was on sale today for $13. I couldnt eat it all so I saved half for later. It's worth a revisit anytime Im in Bloomington.
